The main goal was to introduce OTTERS to teachers and citizen science representatives and to kick off the teachers’ professional development journey of OTTERS.

The OTTERS project held an engaging online workshop on the possibilities of monitoring riparian biodiversity with RiVe, a methodology developed in Italy by our colleague Bruna Gumiero of the University of Bologna.

The workshop was structured in a way to gather participants' thoughts and expertise on four main issues: the standardisation of citizen science practices for freshwater investigation, and for marine observation.
